Cardinal Stritch University Conversation Project
People are hungry for meaningful conversations.
In the fall of 2004 Cardinal Stritch University (CSU) was looking for new and innovative ways to engage their donor base and increase support and involvement in the school. Criterion Ventures created a process (and a wrap-around kit) to run dinner events built on conversations about simple questions that were powerfully relevant to the lives of CSU's donors.
Criterion’s blueprint for events centered on World Café style conversations that went beyond what you might see at traditional fundraising events by engaging CSU’s donors in a discussion of the school’s Franciscan values and hospitality. By giving donors an opportunity to reconnect with the core values of the school and a chance to engage in a lively conversation we hoped they would leave feeling like they got much more than an ask for support. The aim was to have guests leave these dinners feeling invgorated and thoughtful about the value of the school, and their ability to provide support.
CSU is an independent Franciscan Catholic institution of higher education sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi.
