The Center for Public Theology
Criterion helped found the Center for Public Theology n in New York to shape the public square through the practice of theology. Together with a bishop and a few religious leaders, we brought in around 20 people, over time, to build a new entity. The first significant initiative of the Center was Vocation Project. As the organization we were funded to create a product that would respond to the vocational crisis of New Yorkers.
Criterion Ventures founded the Center for Public Theology with religious leaders in New York City to shape the public square through the practice of theology. Over the years, Criterion has transitioned through several roles from consultant to executive director to board member. The Center recently launched a national immigration campaign and continues to incubate compelling ideas and spotlight where religion meets public life.
