Criterion has the people, the experience, the connections...
and the flexibility to move initiatives forward. We play two roles in the process of starting and scaling ventures:
Founding partners in independent ventures: We work with a partner on a shared idea where we have a significant founding equity position. Over time, equity ventures will give us passive income that can serve as early investment capital for ventures.
Retained consultants in new ventures: we work for an organization or an individual for a project based fee. Our client ventures connect us to critical work in the world, engage our core skill set of managing innovative ventures in the context of complex systems, and provide a dependable revenue stream.
Our Methodology
We
launch ventures in the social change space, an
activity with similarity to and distinctions
from launching traditional businesses. In these
particular ventures, there are five areas of
activity that determine success: mapping,
invitation,
naming,
execution
and structuring.
Our Market
We work in
the social change space, often in fields such
as education, health, poverty, and
religion. Our clients and partners are
passionate about the change they want to see in
the world, independent enough to take risks to
make things happen, and resourced at a level
which enables them to pay for results.
They are independent business people and
philanthropists, players in large non profit
systems and established entrepreneurs.
We bring
Powerful,
Engaged
and diverse
relationships
to the table
