Invitation in Projects: AARP Foundation
Invitation was key to our work with AARP Foundation, and came into the process at the start, with calls placed to leaders reaching out for their guidance. The insight they provided through these initial conversations helped guide the work we have done to date, but invitation came back into our work on financial services later as well.
As Criterion worked to explore the range of possibilities for expanding access to and quality of financial services for housholds that make below 300% of the poverty line we engaged our network, reaching out to entrepreneurs launching new financial products, and leaders focused on serving low to moderate income families. Our contacts connected us into a wealth of ideas and approaches that we filtered back into subsequent conversations, and meanwhile they became engaged and excited about the possibilities that could open up through working with a group like AARP.
