Field-Building Initiatives

Criterion has been leading initiatives

that shape markets to create good

for the past 10 years.

Today, we are solely focused

on field-building initiatives

with this mission.

Our Current Initiatives

Through Women Effect Investments, which seeks to create a flow of investment money going towards supporting women and girls, we are shifting how gender is valued in investing.

Our initiative Church as an Economic Being furthers the conversation and actions about how the Christian church intersects with the market and economy.

Dialogues

In the last few years we have been actively seeking out others asking the same questions as we are – “How do you shape markets for social change?” We have found individuals and organizations working on how to change systems and markets. Their practices are strategic, have high impact, but are not well described within the current terms of social change. We know that we are not alone in this work, nor are we necessarily inventing a new body of thought.

Read about the dialogues we are launching to bring together thought leaders and practitioners thinking about and working on the issue of shaping markets in order to formalize the conversation, identify threads and begin to build a field and a community of practice around shaping markets.
